Two things shape dryer work around Orillia, and neither of them is the machine itself.
The first is the older housing stock downtown and through the North Ward. A dryer in a basement laundry of a house built before anybody thought about laundry rooms often vents a long way to reach an outside wall, sometimes through a section of old rigid pipe that has never been opened.
